Hovercraft have existed for a long time. We’ve seen these large air cushion boat-like vehicles but today we discovered a car-sized hovercraft that really worked, the Curtiss-Wright Model 2500 Air Car. It faded away never to be seen again, but it looked like a fun thing to drive, way back in the day. Check out the video below. More pics at theoldmotor. Also see rcgroups. One thing we started to wonder is what happens when you drive it down a dusty street? Does it throw dirt all over the sidewalks as it drives by?
