Elvis: *in his signature drawl* Well howdy there, Art. It’s an honor to be here. You know, I’ve always had a fascination with the mysteries of the universe, and I’m happy to share some of my own experiences with UFOs over the years.
Art Bell: That’s right, Elvis. Rumor has it you’ve had some pretty incredible encounters with unidentified flying objects. Can you tell us more about that?
Elvis: *nods* Well it all started the night I was born back in ’35 in Tupelo, Mississippi. My daddy always told me about this strange blue light that hovered over our little shack that night. The doctor who delivered me, he saw it too. We never could figure out what it was.
Art Bell: Fascinating. So this UFO sighting was there the very night you were born? That’s quite an auspicious beginning.
Elvis: *chuckles* You got that right, Art. And that wasn’t the only thing. I saw some strange things in the sky. One night, me and my old buddy Larry Geller were driving through the desert, and we saw these lights moving way too fast to be airplanes. We knew they had to be UFOs.
Art Bell: Larry Geller, your longtime hairstylist, he’s confirmed these UFO sightings with you, hasn’t he?
Elvis: *nods* That’s right. Larry’s been with me through thick and thin, and he’s seen some of the same things I have. We were walking through Graceland one night and saw these odd lights moving back and forth in a field. Couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
Art Bell: Wow, Elvis, it sounds like you had quite a few close encounters over the years. Did you ever feel like you were being contacted by extraterrestrials in any way?
Elvis: *pauses* Well, you know, there was this one time when I was just a young’un, maybe 8 years old, when I had this strange experience. I was told by some researchers that I was contacted telepathically by two alien beings who showed me a vision of my future as a famous singer. But to be honest, I don’t really remember any of that.
Art Bell: Hmm, interesting. So you don’t have any recollection of that alleged alien contact as a child?
Elvis: *shakes head* No sir, I don’t. My old buddy Larry and some other folks have talked about it, but it’s not something I have any personal memory of. I was always open to the possibility of life on other worlds, but I never had any major alien encounters like that.
Art Bell: I see. Well, Elvis, it’s clear you’ve had a lifelong fascination with the UFO phenomenon. What do you make of all these reports and your own experiences?
Elvis: *leans back in chair* Well Art, I gotta say, the whole thing is mighty curious to me. I’ve seen some things in the sky that I just can’t explain. And I know there’s a lot more out there that we don’t understand. But I try not to get too worked up about it, you know? I just take it all in stride. At the end of the day, I’m just a simple country boy who loves his music and his fans. The rest is just icing on the cake.
