In 2008 a woman who cut my hair looked like a model on a poster in the store where she works. The photo doesn’t show the resemblance as much, but in person I thought it was an even closer match. This was just a coincidence, a real one. I posted it on my blog in 2008 as well.
The odds of encountering a doppelgänger, or someone who looks strikingly similar to you, are difficult to calculate. It depends on various factors such as population size, genetic diversity, and how closely you resemble other people. However, it is estimated that there is a high likelihood of at least one person in the world who closely resembles you due to the large human population and shared genetic traits. Nonetheless, it is still fairly rare to come across a true doppelgänger.
