No human being wants to get screwed in the process of saving the entire Homo sapiens species. As petty and selfish as this may sound, skeptical self-preservation may be one of the major roadblocks to humanity getting together and implementing reforms world-wide that most people would admit are needed, even urgently.
Therefore, we need a plan that will artfully protect and promote individual human well-being, and a plan that will demonstrate this to everyone’s satisfaction. Once a working model is seen, the world will adopt it.
One example of a saving humanity plan where nobody gets screwed, where all individuals involved in the refomed areas have health, money, and happiness, could be a comprehensive Universal Basic Income (UBI) program combined with sustainable development initiatives.
1. Universal Basic Income (UBI): Implementing a UBI ensures that every individual receives a guaranteed minimum income irrespective of their employment status. This ensures that everyone has access to the basic necessities of life, such as food, shelter, and healthcare. By providing financial security, individuals can focus on personal and societal growth.
2. Accessible Healthcare: In addition to UBI, a robust healthcare system that provides universal access to high-quality medical care should be established. Healthcare should be affordable, ensuring that nobody has to worry about medical expenses, and preventive measures should be incorporated to focus on overall well-being.
3. Education and Skill Development: To promote economic mobility and personal fulfillment, an extensive education system with an emphasis on lifelong learning should be in place. This includes quality primary and secondary education, as well as accessible higher education and vocational training opportunities. By empowering people with knowledge and skills, they have increased chances of finding meaningful employment and pursuing fulfilling careers.
4. Sustainable Development: To ensure a healthy and sustainable planet, environmental conservation and renewable energy initiatives should be made central to all economic and developmental strategies. Promoting green technologies, sustainable practices, and investing in renewable energy sources will create employment opportunities and mitigate the negative impact of climate change.
5. Mental Health Support: Recognizing the importance of mental well-being, the plan should also prioritize reforms of mental health support by increasing and promoting awareness of and access to resources. Once internal corruption is resolved in the field, it will ensure that individuals have the necessary support to maintain happiness and psychological well-being.
By combining these elements, a saving humanity plan can be developed where everyone is ensured a good quality of life, financial security, adequate healthcare, opportunities for personal growth, and a sustainable future.
The Catch: Power Dynamics
Well, the above was what the HSA meeting had worked out, but then at dinner, one Human Survival Authority member, said, “The plan is blind to privilege. What about those various leaders with power now over others, those who do not want to get ‘screwed out of’ having that power? “
The table fell into a thoughtful silence. This, negotiating balances of power, would become the next several meeting topics.
Search Review
“Saving Humanity, a Plan Where No Human is Left Behind” seems to be related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principle of leaving no one behind (LNOB)[1]. The LNOB is the central, transformative promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals, which aims to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities and vulnerabilities, and ensure that all UN Member States commit to these goals[1].
The UN approach to leaving no one behind is set out in the Shared Framework on Leaving No One Behind, Equality and Non-Discrimination at the Heart of Sustainable Development[1]. This framework provides a step-by-step approach to operationalizing the LNOB pledge, adapting and employing relevant tools from across the UN System, assessing who is left behind, sequencing and prioritizing solutions, tracking and monitoring progress, and ensuring follow-up and review[1].
The principle of leaving no one behind is also closely related to human rights, which are key to ensuring that no one is left behind[3]. The indivisibility and interdependence of human rights, including civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights, the right to development, and the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, all contribute to eradicating poverty and hunger, and building a world where development and the application of technology are climate-sensitive, respect biodiversity, and resilient[4].
In summary, a potential AI plan where no human is left behind most closely matches the UN’s efforts to ensure that all individuals are included and supported in achieving the SDGs through the LNOB principle and the promotion of human rights.
