  1. Who the hell uses sugar anymore? Everything is made with high fructose corn syrup or “corn sugar” as they’re lobbying to change it to. Let’s attack the artificial chemicals they call “sweeteners” because they are seeing more and more the connection between brain damage and obesity with them. But nah, let’s tax something that is highly tariffed from other countries to protect the American sugar industry first :

    I’m assuming this tax will only apply to foreign sugar and not domestic. More corporate warfare in the guise of benefiting the beleaguered masses too ignorant to take care of themselves.

    Denmark introduced a sugar and fat tax last year, Hungary introduced the same period a fat tax are also called fried-tax.

    So don’t tell me that the US is showing the way ???
