One thought on “Why is Newsi8 Slow While Other Web Sites Are Fast from Tails OS?”
One thing I did notice in looking at this is that the web browser in Tails can give you a different Tor connection (three different IPs in a chain) with each web site you visit. This is true even if you don’t click the “New identity” broom icon. I thought before today that all web browsing in that session was through the same IP address, but that is not currently the case with my browser, which I assume is true for all Tails users now. In fact, I now think this is the source of the long delay: The nodes for the Tor connection, in my case, are changing multiple times. I watch no connection happen through several automatic changes of the Tor path while trying to get to newsi8.com, and then finally, an exit node in Poland worked. Wow, I did not realize that there is such a dynamic real time adjustment going on. This may be to get around automated blocking, but it is still interesting that Dreamhost.com works from any Tor path I try and my site does not.
